The Dollhouse Diaries is a series of work on paper that presents itself as a pictorial diary of sorts. Each image is a compilation of layers and hidden narratives. Miniature houses are staged with the secrets of abandoned objects. Collages are formed with sentimental memorabilia stacked and rearranged, torn until the context is stripped down to something entirely new. Serigraphy and gel transfers are layered over collected patterns, found lines, shapes and forms that reflect both my memories and nightmares. These images present exterior and interior spaces with repetitious subjects plucked from my childhood nostalgia and form the places that can only be visited through my imagination. Here is my collection of personal stories to be read in a public space by strangers.
